وأنت.. بعيد
أسُافر ُ خلفكَ
في كلِ القطارات
أنتظرُكَ... في كل المحطا ت
أجوبُ.. الأزقة
وفي زاويةٍ .. مع فناجيني
أفكُ طلاسمَ الحروفِ
والرسَمات
أنتظرُ أخبارا
عن مواسمِكَ
تأتيني بها... القبُرات
إليكَ..
أشدُ... رحالي
أعُبيءُ حقائبي
ترُاثي وبخوري
وروعة .. أسحاري
ذاتَ .. صباح
ستصحو.. وأنا
أمسحُ قطرات الندى
عن جبينك
بأناملي أمُشط ُ خصلات ِ شعرك
وفي مرفأ عينيكَ
سأختمُ..
كلَ أسفاري
وستدُرك
أن كلّ النساءِ
أنا
وأنكَ ..لي كتبتَ
أجملَ القصائد ِ.. والأشعارِ

While you are far away
I travel in your trace
In all trains
I wait for you..
At all stations
I wander through the alleys
And out one corner of my coffee cup
I figure out the talismans of your letters
And figures
I am awaiting bits of news
About your seasons
Which the skylarks bring to me
I pack my travel things
And fill my suitcases fully
With my heritage and incenses..
And the splendour of my early dawns
Really
In a certain morrow early
You might wake up while I
Wipe off dewdrops
From your forehead
Duly ..
With my fingertips I comb your hair tufts
And at the port of your eyes
I'll terminate my travels totally
And thou shalt just then realize
Instantly
That all women are
Me ...
And that you have written
The most virtuous verses
And the most pleasing poems
(Only) to me...!
